Not a lot

I haven't really been taking a good look around recently so I haven't seen much. The wagtails that live between Asda and the bike path are interesting to look at.

Policy

I think I will endeavour to make it a policy not to comment on protected species on this page. This is for the protection of the species in and around Canterbury.

Hobby

Alas I feel I have been ornithologically rebuked, for, the Falcon was not a Falcon a la Peregrine Falcon (which means, by the by, in loose terms, small falcon), but, a Hobby. I am fairly sure of this.

Update 29.12.06. Time 04.18. After looking at a good photograph of a Hobby I feel that by the colourings of the bird I saw resembling a falcon was indeed a Peregrine. The markings around its face were suggestive of Peregrine. Also its boldness and strength of flight point to a Peregrine falcon, a strong bird capable of preying birds as large as geese.
